VP of Managed Service Provider (MSP)

The VP, Managed Services will lead and scale the company's Managed Security Services (MSSP) and broader managed services business, driving service delivery excellence, profitability, and growth across the portfolio. This role owns the P&L for managed services, sets strategic direction for service offerings, and ensures delivery teams consistently exceed client SLAs and expectations. The ideal candidate has deep experience running MSSP operations within a VAR, systems integrator, or IT services organization, and is comfortable balancing operational rigor with strategic growth initiatives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Own the P&L for the Managed Services/MSSP business unit, including revenue growth, margin management, and cost optimization
  • Lead service delivery strategy across managed security, infrastructure, and IT operations offerings
  • Ensure consistent achievement of SLAs, customer satisfaction targets, and retention goals across the managed services customer base
  • Build and scale delivery processes, tooling, and automation to support growth while maintaining service quality
  • Partner closely with Sales and Pre-Sales teams to support new business development, renewals, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop managed services leadership and delivery teams
  • Drive vendor and technology partner relationships relevant to the managed services portfolio (e.g., security, monitoring, and automation platforms)
  • Oversee integration of managed services operations following acquisitions, aligning delivery models, tooling, and staffing across combined organizations
  • Establish and report on key operational and financial metrics to executive leadership

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in managed services, MSSP, or IT services delivery leadership roles
  • Prior experience within a VAR, systems integrator, or managed services provider is a MUST
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, ITIL, PMP) are preferred
  • Proven track record owning P&L responsibility for a managed services or MSSP business unit
  • Deep understanding of MSSP delivery models, including SOC operations, monitoring, and security service delivery, is a strong asset
  • Experience leading teams through M&A integration, including aligning service delivery models across acquired entities
  • Strong track record of building and scaling delivery processes, automation, and tooling to support growth
  • Excellent executive presence and cross-functional partnership skills, particularly with Sales and Pre-Sales teams
