What are Remote MIPS jobs?

Remote MIPS jobs involve working with the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) in a telecommuting or work-from-home capacity. Professionals in these roles typically handle tasks such as data reporting, quality measure tracking, and regulatory compliance for healthcare providers participating in the MIPS program. These positions require knowledge of healthcare regulations, electronic health records, and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines. Remote MIPS specialists help healthcare organizations maximize their MIPS scores to ensure optimal Medicare reimbursements while maintaining compliance. The roles often include data analysis, reporting, and communication with healthcare teams.

What is the difference between Remote Mips vs Remote Medical Insurance Processor?

Common Search IntentRemote Mips vs Remote Medical Insurance Processor

Remote Mips and Remote Medical Insurance Processors both involve healthcare-related tasks performed remotely. While MIPS focuses on healthcare quality reporting and requires specific medical coding certifications, Medical Insurance Processors handle insurance claims and billing. Both roles are home-based and serve the healthcare and insurance industries, but they differ in their core responsibilities and required credentials.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote MIPS (Merit-based Incentive Payment System) Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote MIPS Specialist, you need a solid understanding of healthcare compliance, performance measurement, and data analysis, usually supported by experience in medical billing or health information management. Familiarity with EHR systems, MIPS reporting software, and certifications like CPC (Certified Professional Coder) are highly valuable. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills help ensure accurate reporting and collaboration with providers. These skills are crucial for optimizing incentive payments, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting healthcare quality initiatives.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in Remote MIPS (Medical Insurance Processing Services) roles, and how can they be managed?

Professionals in Remote MIPS roles often navigate challenges such as maintaining clear communication with team members and healthcare providers despite working virtually, managing sensitive patient data securely, and adapting to evolving insurance policies and procedures. Staying organized and proactively using secure collaboration tools can help mitigate these issues. Regular training and open communication channels with supervisors and peers are crucial for addressing questions and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

CPU Micro Architect / Logic Designer

Ventana Micro Systems

Cupertino, CA โ€ข On-site, Remote

$105K - $260K/yr

Full-time

Posted 9 days ago

Job description

Ventana is building the highest-performance RISC-V CPUs on the planetโ€”designed for data center, AI, and edge workloads, with real silicon, not slideware.
Our second-generation Veyron core (V2) is on track to ship early next year, featuring an aggressive wide-issue pipeline and built in 4nm. Development on Veyron V3 is ramping now, with even greater performance and deep AI platform integration. This is your opportunity to work alongside engineers who built iconic processors like the AMD K6 and the first 64-bit ARM server processor (X-Gene at AppliedMicro)โ€”bringing decades of CPU innovation to a clean-slate, open-standards future. You can check us out here: Ventana Micro - YouTube
Weโ€™re looking for senior microarchitects and logic designers to help define and deliver the heart of our next-gen cores. If youโ€™ve owned major features in a high-performance CPU, we want to talk.
Role Responsibilities
As a CPU Microarchitect / Logic Designer at Ventana, you will:
  • Define and develop advanced microarchitecture for high-performance RISC-V cores and subsystems
  • Write and maintain detailed design specifications
  • Deliver high-quality, synthesizable RTL for complex processor components
  • Collaborate closely with verification, physical design, and performance modeling teams
  • Support timing closure, power optimization, and clock domain crossings as needed
  • Contribute to bring-up and debug of silicon and emulation platforms
  • Help analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks through the full development lifecycle
Minimum Qualifications
  • 8+ years of industry experience in CPU or GPU RTL design, microarchitecture, or closely related system-level work
  • Proven ownership of significant features in a high-performance processor
  • Strong understanding of modern CPU architecture (e.g., out-of-order execution, speculative pipelines, caching, coherence)
  • Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
  • RISC-V or other modern ISA experience (e.g., ARM, x86, MIPS, SPARC, POWER)
  • Familiarity with high-frequency design techniques (timing, power, CDC)
  • Experience with front-end tools: synthesis, simulation, lint, waveform viewers
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or similar)
  • Involvement in post-silicon debug and validation
  • Comfort working in distributed, hybrid-remote teams

BASE SALARY RANGE

$105,000 TO $260,000 per year
