Job description

Temporary position approximately 3-6 months


Annual Salary range: $103,854.40 min. - $150,592.00 max


 Reporting to the Director of Health Information Management, this temporary full-time position is responsible for validating inventory of documents historically stored in the decommissioned legacy medical record system against same documents stored in newly deployed active medical record storage system. Validation Engineer performs Master Patient Index validation, manual medical record validation, and detailed data review to confirm that patient, encounter, and clinical documentation are accurate, complete, and presented appropriately in the new system. This position works closely with Health Information Management, Information Systems, and third-party vendors to identify validation issues, document findings, track remediation, and support successful project completion within the expected three-month project scope. Strong attention to detail, Excel proficiency, data validation experience, EHR familiarity, and a clinical understanding of how medical record data should appear in the target system are required.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

1. Associate in a Relevant Area required, Bachelor Degree in a Relevant Area preferred.

2. Minimum 3 year of experience implementing and supporting Healthcare Information Systems required.

3. Experience successfully leading high-visibility healthcare projects and enterprise-level initiatives required.

4. Experience documenting business and information system requirements applicable to a health care delivery organization required.

5. Experience applying project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools, including development of project plans and document project meetings and status required.

6. HL7, ANSI X12, EDI, and Interface Engine experience preferred.

7. Experience developing and presenting business analyses and plans required.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  1. 1. CAHIMS, CPHIMS, ITIL, CAPM, PMP Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS), IT Infrastructure Library, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
