Job description

Epic Caboodle/Clarity Developer (Clinical Reporting)Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Caboodle/Clarity Developer to support a large Pennsylvania-based health system that is experiencing significant growth in its data and analytics demands. This individual will play a critical role in developing and delivering high-priority data extracts, reports, and analytics solutions to support both internal stakeholders and third-party partners.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise within Epic's reporting ecosystem, including Clarity, Caboodle, Reporting Workbench (RWB), and data extraction processes, with a strong focus on clinical data and operations rather than revenue cycle reporting. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of complex reporting and analytics initiatives while helping the organization reduce a substantial reporting backlog.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, extracts, and reporting solutions.
  • Design and deliver data extracts for internal departments and external vendor partners requiring timely access to Epic data.
  • Create and support Epic Reporting Workbench (RWB) reports and data extraction workflows.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and informatics teams to translate business requirements into reporting solutions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot reporting issues, data discrepancies, and extract failures.
  • Support scheduling-related reporting and analytics initiatives within Epic.
  • Assist in prioritizing and resolving a growing pipeline of reporting and data requests.
  • Provide recommendations for reporting optimization, automation, and performance improvements.
  • Partner with analytics teams to support broader enterprise data and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Leverage Qlik tools to develop dashboards, visualizations, and self-service reporting solutions where applicable.
Required Qualifications
  • Epic Caboodle Certification
  • Epic Clarity Certification
  • 3+ years of hands-on Epic reporting and development experience.
  • Extensive experience working with Epic Clarity and Caboodle databases.
  • Strong SQL development and query optimization skills.
  • Experience building and supporting Reporting Workbench (RWB) reports and data extracts.
  • Proven experience gathering requirements and translating them into technical reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting large healthcare organizations and complex reporting environments.
  • Strong understanding of Epic clinical workflows and clinical data structures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with QlikView and/or Qlik Sense development.
  • Experience building dashboards, data visualizations, and enterprise analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of Epic scheduling data and workflows.
  • Experience supporting third-party integrations, data requests, and external data-sharing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with healthcare analytics, clinical quality metrics, and population health reporting.

Pay and Benefits
