Job description

About Ditto:
Ditto is redefining how data moves at the edge. Our mission is to make it seamless for developers to build resilient, real-time applications, regardless of network conditions. Whether you're in a stadium, airplane, or remote military base, Ditto's peer-to-peer sync engine ensures devices stay connected and data stays consistent, even without internet. With more than $145 million in funding and trusted by organizations like Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, and the U.S. military, Ditto powers mission-critical experiences across aviation, retail, travel, hospitality, defense, and more. As a globally distributed, fast-growing startup, we're committed to building a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the wide range of perspectives needed to solve the world's hardest connectivity problems.
What You'll Do
You own the financial engine of the company - the model, the plan, and the cadence around them - and you drive it across the business. This is the part of the job we'll lean on most.
Own the model and the plan
  • Three-statement operating model. Own a consolidated, bottoms-up three-statement model, built on a cross-functionally adopted, robust budgeting process.
  • Own revenue and cash forecasting. Two of the most consequential forecasts we run - and neither is a lift-and-shift playbook. You'll bring real rigor and cross-functional partnership to get them right.
  • Instrument the business. Manage toward the metrics that matter - burn multiple, Rule of 40, efficiency. This is essential to critical decisions, and FP&A plays a key role in understanding the trade-offs in real time.
  • Own and operate Ditto's Financial OS. Our AI-native, home-grown reporting and forecasting tool - the backbone leadership runs the business on. You'll expand, own, and operate it, and your AI fluency will help you scale it quickly.
  • Fundraising. Partner closely with the VP, Finance on capital-raise processes - building the model and helping tell the story of the business as we bring on capital.

Own the corporate FP&A cadence
  • Run the rhythm. Close alignment, review of actuals, and a regular, reliable forecast on a predictable cadence - anchored in a single source of truth and clean version-over-version change management.
  • Drive it cross-functionally. You forge strong partnerships with leadership and cross-functional teams - the foundation of aligned planning and financial storytelling.
  • Partner with Accounting. Help check the close and keep forecasting aligned with how we account for things, across GAAP and non-GAAP views.
  • Own board materials and sales comp. Produce much of our board reporting, and own commission / sales-comp design and administration in collaboration with GTM and People.
Who You Are
  • 8-12 years in FP&A / corporate finance, with a track record of owning the model and the cadence in a high-growth setting.
  • A truth seeker. Obsessed with the why behind the numbers - complete, correct, and fast in a dynamic environment, with the judgment to connect the model to the business.
  • Self-sufficient, with a bias to action. You take the ball and run, prioritize ruthlessly, and make the call with imperfect information. On a lean team there's no room for hand-holding.
  • AI-fluent and a builder. This is weighted heavily for us. We care about appetite and trajectory over a specific tool list - you've already started working differently because of AI, you're hands-on enough to extend our in-house tooling (data, APIs, SQL, automation), and you lean toward building over buying. Just as important: you know where AI needs a human check and can defend a number even when a model helped you get there.
  • You've lived in planning systems - now you'll build one. You've worked hands-on with a real planning platform (Anaplan, Planful, Pigment, or similar) and understand what makes one work - the data model, the rollups, the cadence, the adoption. You'll bring that hard-won instinct to building and scaling our own.
  • A real partner. You earn trust across the executive team and distill complex concepts into actionable insights, without losing your independence on the numbers. Built for a remote team.
  • Strong IC with management experience. You can run this largely on your own today, and you've managed before. Over time you'll build a team - deliberately lean in a post-AI world - while still contributing significantly as an individual.

Nice to have: Domain knowledge in government contracts, public sector go-to-market, and dual-use businesses (a real plus, not a dealbreaker); investment banking foundation; experience through a fundraise or IPO; experience with NetSuite or similar ERP.
The Benefits of Building with Us
We offer competitive salaries and meaningful equity. We believe everyone on the team should have a stake in what we're building. Benefits vary by region to make sure you're covered in the ways that matter most. In the US, that includes health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, plus a 401(k) and flexible spending accounts.
Regardless of where you live, everyone at Ditto can utilize flexible time off. And while we work remotely, our Atlanta and San Francisco offices are open if you ever want a place to work or meet up with teammates.
Apply Anyway
At Ditto, we know game-changers don't always come wrapped in a "perfect" resume. Years of experience? Every single bullet point checked? Meh. That's not what drives us.
What does matter?
  • Grit.
  • Curiosity.
  • Adaptability.
  • And a genuine spark for what we're building.

So if you're fired up about our mission but not sure you tick every box - hit that apply button anyway. Use your application to show us how you'll make an impact here.
We're always on the lookout for exceptional humans who want to grow, stretch, and build something meaningful with us.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Ditto is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or other applicable legally protected characteristics. Ditto is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures. If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please let us know.
