JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The School of Business Administration at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking a part-time Instructor toteach one to three courses in Finance/Economics for the Fall 2026 Semester as well as other future semesters.

Job Duties
  • Part-time instructors typically plan and teach one to three courses per semester on campus related to undergraduate or graduate Economics and Finance.
  • Successful candidates must be able to work effectively with diverse populations and audiences.
  • Follow best practices for teaching.
  • Work effectively with diverse populations and audiences.
  • Hold at least one office hour per three credits taught.
  • Grade student work.
  • Submit student progress reports throughout the semester.
  • Response to administration and student emails.
  • Effectively use the Penn State learning management system (Canvas).
Requirements and QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Earned Masters Degree in Economics, Master's in Finance, or a closely related field for undergraduate courses, or a PhD in Economics or Finance for graduate courses, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Economics or Finance.

  • College-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
