Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Senior Account Manager with a strong background in agribusiness to manage and service a specialized book of business. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, delivering proactive service, strategic coverage guidance, and high-quality account management throughout the policy lifecycle.


This position supports a well-established agribusiness book of business belonging to one of the agency's senior leaders, offering a unique opportunity to work closely with long term clients and become a trusted partner in servicing some of the agency's most valued client relationships.


Key Responsibilities


Serve as the primary service contact for assigned commercial accounts, including a significant agribusiness book of business, building strong relationships through responsive communication and proactive client service


Manage the full renewal process, including gathering exposure information, reviewing current coverages, preparing submissions, marketing accounts, negotiating with carriers, and delivering renewal recommendations


Review client insurance programs to identify coverage gaps, emerging risks, and opportunities for improvement, providing thoughtful recommendations tailored to each client's operations and risk exposures


Partner closely with producers, clients, and carrier representatives to develop and implement effective risk management and insurance solutions


Support new business opportunities by preparing applications, marketing, coordinating carrier submissions, obtaining quotes, and assisting with the onboarding of new clients


Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, audits, cancellations, billing inquiries, and other service-related requests in a timely and accurate manner


Coordinate claims reporting and follow-up activities, helping clients navigate the claims process while serving as a resource between clients and carriers


Maintain complete and accurate documentation within the agency management system, including policy activity, client communications, and service transactions


Ensure compliance with agency workflows, carrier requirements, and established service standards while maintaining a strong attention to detail


Stay informed on agribusiness and commercial insurance trends, market conditions, coverage developments, and carrier appetites to provide valuable guidance to clients


Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience and help maintain long-term client retention

Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to team members as needed while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture

Requirements

Qualifications


Minimum 7+ years of commercial insurance account management experience


Demonstrated experience working with agribusiness or agriculture-related accountsย 


Active California Property & Casualty License required


Strong technical understanding of commercial coverages, underwriting practices, and carrier relationships


Proven ability to manage complex accounts and competing priorities with attention to detail


Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsย 


Proficiency in agency management systems and Microsoft Office tools


AFIS designation or willingness to obtain
