Job Description:

If you are a Continuous Improvement Professional looking for an opportunity to grow and shape the future of a business, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you!As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, youwillbe supporting the business in constantly looking at ways to perform more efficiently. You will analyze processes and make recommendations, work with cross-functional teams to recognizeopportunities,and implement sustainable improvements.

Copeland isseekinga highly competent continuous improvement professional who uses a variety of skills such as project design, leadership, and influence to ensure process development and improved outcomes. This person willbe responsible forusing Lean Six Sigma principles to drive improvement initiatives and operational excellence. This role could expand beyond manufacturing processes, working with project management and operations to make improvements across the organization.

AS ACONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

  • Identifyand prioritize process improvement opportunities to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve efficiency

  • Lead end-to-end continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, from scoping through sustaining by developing and driving structured implementation plans, including timelines, governance, and performance tracking

  • Coach and train teams on CBS (Copeland Business System) tools to build capability and sustain results

  • Working to continuously improve transactional and production processes by collaborating with multiple functions

  • Define project scope,objectives, success metrics, deliverables, and constraints

  • Evaluate and select solutions based on impact, feasibility, and resource requirements

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and ensure effective change adoption

  • Identifyand mitigate risks, obstacles, and technical challenges

  • Track outcomes andoptimizesolutions to ensure sustained business impact

  • Work with Stakeholders to develop clear project charters defining scope and goals

  • Facilitate events such as Structured Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, and Project Kaizens

  • Accurately analyze options including impact and feasibility

  • Identifyingobstacles and ways to overcome them through continuous improvement

  • Hold Teams accountable to regularlymonitorsolution implementation insuring achievement of expected benefits

REQUIREDEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Engineering Technology, or a related field

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience

  • Quality improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma

  • Experience leading Kaizens, Root cause analysis, and Value Stream Mapping

  • Continuous Improvement Management certification

  • Ability to weigh and manage priorities, well organized and with ability to multitask

  • Strong work habits focusing on safety,qualityand productivity

  • Proficiencyin commonly used and specialized software

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including advanced skills with Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced, changing environments

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
