Job Description :
Responsibilities
  • Provide production and non-production Linux/Unix server support.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, changes, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
  • Administer RHEL servers, storage, filesystems, LVM, networking, NFS, DNS, and system patches.
  • Support VMware environments, SAN-attached storage, Oracle ASM, and clustered systems.
  • Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, vulnerability remediation, and operational troubleshooting.
  • Support FISMA-aligned security controls, continuous monitoring, remediation, and audit/compliance activities.
  • Participate in infrastructure projects and automation initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders during incidents, changes, and operational activities.

Skills
Must have
  • Red Hat Linux (RHEL), Linux System Administration, VMware ESX, LVM, SAN Storage, Oracle ASM, TCP/IP, NFS, DNS, Linux Clustering, FISMA Compliance, Production Support, Incident Management, Change Management, Communication Skills

Mandatory Skills Description:
  • 7+ years of Red Hat Linux experience, including standalone and virtual servers, with 4+ years administering RHEL 6/7/8/9/10 and 2+ years of VMware ESX experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Linux administration, LVM/filesystems, storage, networking, patching, performance tuning, SAN-attached storage, Oracle ASM, and clustered environments.
  • Experience supporting production systems within FISMA or similarly regulated environments, including security controls, vulnerability remediation, continuous monitoring, and compliance activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills are required.

RHCSA certification; Azure, AWS, or GCP experience; experience supporting 500+ Unix servers; healthcare industry experience; ServiceNow/ITIL; GFS2, GPFS, or Veritas Cluster; Bash/KSH scripting; Ansible, Python, Chef, or similar automation/configuration tools; monitoring tools such as Zabbix, VROPS, OME, OneView, and Splunk; and storage/backup technology experience.
Nice to have
  • 3+ years of experience working in an operational support role with an environment of 500+ Unix Servers
  • Experience writing automation scripts
