Job description

CLINICAL RECRUITMENT MANAGER
Job Title: Clinical Recruitment Manager
Location: United States (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive
Hours: 40 hours/week, primarily EST business hours
Reports to: Founder / Operations Leadership
About Josi Health
Josi Health is a fast-growing virtual behavioral health company focused on making autism and ADHD evaluations, therapy, and ongoing care more accessible, faster, and less stressful for families. We operate across 40+ states and partner with major commercial insurance carriers to deliver high-quality care through a distributed network of licensed psychologists and therapists.
Every clinician we successfully hire directly increases patient access to care. Every recruiting decision influences how quickly families receive answers and treatment.
As we continue to scale nationally, we're looking for an experienced Clinical Recruitment Manager to build and own the clinical recruiting function.
About the Role
This is not a traditional clinical recruiting role.
We're looking for someone who has already built and led clinical recruiting functions within a healthcare startup or other high-growth healthcare organization and understands what it takes to consistently attract, engage, and hire exceptional licensed clinicians in a competitive market.
You'll own our clinical hiring strategy—from workforce planning and sourcing strategy through offer acceptance and onboarding handoff. You'll partner directly with leadership to improve hiring speed, strengthen candidate quality, and build recruiting systems that scale.
If you've successfully recruited psychologists, therapists, or other licensed behavioral health professionals, enjoy solving difficult hiring challenges, and thrive in environments where you can build rather than simply maintain recruiting processes, we'd love to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Recruiting Leadership

• Own the end-to-end recruiting strategy for licensed behavioral health clinicians across Josi Health.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for Clinical Psychologists (PhD/PsyD), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFTs), and related clinical providers.
• Build and maintain high-quality talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Design sourcing strategies that consistently attract passive clinical talent.
Strategic Sourcing & Market Intelligence
• Source clinicians through LinkedIn, Indeed, licensing boards, professional associations, referral networks, conferences, niche communities, university alumni networks, and targeted outreach.
• Develop market intelligence around clinician supply, compensation trends, geographic availability, cross-state licensure policies and compacts (e.g., PsyPact, Counseling Compact), and competitor hiring activity.
• Recommend hiring strategies based on labor market conditions and business priorities.
• Identify expansion opportunities and talent-rich markets to support company growth.
Hiring Partnership
• Partner closely with founders, operations, and clinical leadership to understand workforce planning, provider capacity, and hiring priorities.
• Conduct intake meetings that clarify role requirements and hiring expectations.
• Advise leadership on recruiting strategy, compensation competitiveness, interview process improvements, and hiring timelines.
• Act as a trusted recruiting partner rather than an order taker.
Candidate Experience
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from first outreach through offer acceptance.
• Conduct thoughtful recruiter screens assessing clinical experience, licensure, telehealth readiness, state coverage, communication style, and mission alignment.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Protect and strengthen Josi Health's employer brand.
Recruiting Operations
• Build scalable recruiting workflows, playbooks, interview guides, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate candidate records within the ATS (e.g., JazzHR).
• Track recruiting performance through dashboards and reporting.
• Continuously improve recruiting processes to reduce time-to-fill while maintaining hiring quality.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement
Own recruiting metrics including:
• Time-to-fill
• Pipeline health
• Source effectiveness
• Interview-to-offer conversion
• Offer acceptance rate
• Hiring manager satisfaction
• Candidate experience
• Clinician retention trends
• Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements that increase hiring quality, recruiting efficiency, and scalability.
What We're Looking For
Must-Have

• 5+ years of full-cycle healthcare recruiting experience.
• 2+ years leading or owning a clinical recruiting function.
• Demonstrated success recruiting licensed behavioral health clinicians, including psychologists and therapists.
• Experience working in a startup or other fast-growing healthcare organization where recruiting processes were built or significantly improved.
• Strong passive sourcing skills using multiple channels beyond job boards.
• Deep understanding of behavioral health licensing, telehealth recruiting, and multi-state hiring considerations.
• Experience partnering directly with executive leadership and hiring managers.
• Excellent interviewing, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using recruiting metrics to improve recruiting performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
• Experience recruiting for virtual-first or telehealth organizations.
• Experience hiring Clinical Psychologists (PhD/PsyD).
• Familiarity with PSYPACT and multi-state behavioral health licensing.
• Experience scaling recruiting during periods of rapid organizational growth.
• Experience implementing ATS workflows or recruiting process improvements.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
What We Offer
• Fully remote within the United States.
• Competitive compensation.
• Direct ownership of a mission-critical business function.
• Opportunity to build and shape the clinical recruiting function from the ground up.
• Close partnership with company leadership.
• Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on improving access to behavioral healthcare.
• The opportunity to make a measurable impact on thousands of families by helping exceptional clinicians join Josi Health.
