The position is best suited for an attorney who enjoys applying professional responsibility rules in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable managing a significant volume of conflicts reviews, and values practical, business-focused judgment. While support and escalation paths are available for novel or high-risk matters, this role is expected to independently clear the majority of new client, matter, and lateral hire conflicts.
This is a full-time, firm wide role with regular interaction across practice groups, intake, and risk stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

  • Apply firm policies and applicable rules of professional conduct to identify, evaluate, and resolve potential conflicts of interest
  • Clear routine and moderate-complexity conflicts and escalate higher-risk or novel issues with clear written analysis and recommendations
  • Communicate directly with partners, associates, and business professionals to obtain missing or clarifying information efficiently
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of conflicts data in the firm's conflicts and client/matter systems
  • Support lateral onboarding by reviewing prior-firm matters, coordinating data intake, and identifying potential ethical issues
  • Partner closely with new business intake, conflicts analysts, and firm leadership to meet turnaround expectations and service standards
Advisory & Risk Support (Secondary Focus)
  • Provide practical guidance to attorneys and staff on routine conflicts and new business questions
  • Support enforcement and monitoring of approved ethical screens
  • Contribute to training, documentation, and firm wide guidance related to conflicts and intake
  • Participate in workflow, process, and systems improvement initiatives as the firm continues to scale
Qualifications
  • J.D. required
  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience, with demonstrated exposure to conflicts, intake, ethics, or risk management
  • Working knowledge of U.S. rules of professional conduct and law firm conflicts standards
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy under time pressure\
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
  • Prior conflicts or new business intake experience in a mid-to-large law firm environment
  • Familiarity with conflicts databases and intake workflows, preferably InTapp
  • Exposure to professional responsibility, ethics, or risk management matters
What We Look For
  • Sound judgment and the confidence to make clearance decisions within established guidelines
  • Attention to detail without losing sight of business realities
  • Responsiveness and reliability in a deadline-driven environment
  • Collaborative approach and comfort working with stakeholders across practices and seniority levels
