An established firm based in Austin, Texas with over 25+ years in practice is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join their team remote. This role supports the firm's Austin office and involves handling insurance defense litigation including general liability and commercial litigation matters, ensuring effective case management and strong client representation throughout all phases of litigation.

Qualifications
Active Texas Bar membership in good standing
3+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
Experience handling cases from inception through resolution
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple cases independently in a remote environment
Excellent communication skills with clients, carriers, and opposing counsel
Responsibilities
Handling insurance defense matters including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
Representing clients in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations
Developing case strategies and evaluating exposure and liability
Communicating regularly with insurance carriers and clients regarding case status
Collaborating with firm attorneys while maintaining independent caseload responsibility
