About the Role

A well-established litigation firm is seeking a skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing team. The ideal candidate has strong litigation experience, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision. This role involves representing insureds and insurance carriers in a broad range of civil matters throughout Texas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Independently manage an active litigation docket
  • Draft and argue motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions.
  • Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
  • Prepare clients, adjusters, witnesses, and experts for depositions and testimony.
  • Evaluate claims, assess exposure, and communicate case strategy to carriers and clients.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license with the Texas Bar (in good standing).
  • 6–10+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills.
