Job description

Location: Remote, United States; applicants must be based in Florida, Colorado, Georgia, or Tennessee.
Travel requirement: Significant travel is an essential requirement of this role. You must be available to travel onsite to client events multiple times per quarter, throughout North America, and internationally as business and client needs require.
Who are we?
At Grip, we're on a mission to connect people, ideas and opportunities. Our leading AI-powered Event Engagement Platform for trade shows, conferences and hosted buyer events enables our clients to create Virtual, Hybrid, and Live experiences in a single platform.
We work with many of the biggest event organisers in the world and operate globally across multiple regions and event formats. Grip's growth means we now need even clearer ownership between pre-sale commercial leadership and post-sale delivery and customer success.
About the role
As a Project Manager, you will own the successful post-sale implementation and delivery of Grip for a portfolio of event-organiser clients. You will translate the sold solution into a clear delivery plan, lead clients through platform setup and readiness, coordinate internal specialists, and ensure each event is delivered on time, within agreed scope, and to a high standard.
You will be the central operational lead from project kickoff through event completion and handover. This includes guiding clients on platform configuration and best practices, managing risks and dependencies, maintaining delivery discipline, and ensuring that all teams involved are aligned on what is required for event success.
This is a highly client-facing role for someone who combines strong project management discipline with practical experience in event technology, events, hospitality, or another fast-paced client-delivery environment. You will be expected to attend client events onsite regularly, represent Grip professionally, and confidently manage the realities of live event delivery.
Core responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for assigned client events, from post-sale handover and kickoff through go-live, onsite delivery where required, and post-event closeout.
  • Build and maintain clear project plans, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, timelines, and client-facing status communications.
  • Act as the primary operational point of contact for clients during implementation, ensuring they understand requirements, responsibilities, deadlines, and best-practice use of the Grip platform.
  • Implement and advise clients on platform configuration, event setup, data readiness, attendee engagement, matchmaking, content, and activation strategies that support their event objectives.
  • Lead regular client project meetings, document decisions and actions, manage follow-up, and communicate progress clearly to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage scope against the Statement of Work, identify scope creep early, and partner with Commercial and Customer Success teams to document and manage change requests where needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Solutions/Integrations, Product, Support, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to deliver successful events.
  • Partner with technical and integration teams to ensure event data, imports, integrations, testing, and platform configuration are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Lead project risk management, escalate issues promptly, and drive practical resolution across client and internal teams.
  • Conduct quality checks and readiness reviews before launch, ensuring the event experience meets client expectations and Grip delivery standards.
  • Track project time, delivery effort, and key project metrics to help maintain operational efficiency and identify risks to delivery margin.
  • Capture learnings from each project and contribute to improved delivery processes, templates, standards, and scalable ways of working.

What we're looking for
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, implementation, event operations, customer delivery, client services.
  • Desired experience implementing or supporting event technology, SaaS platforms, registration systems, event apps, networking solutions, or related digital-event products is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, including the confidence to lead meetings, challenge unclear requirements, set expectations, and handle difficult conversations constructively.
  • Comfortable working with event data, registration platform configuration, native integrations, imports, testing, and technical teams; experience with ETL processes, APIs, CRM systems, or third-party integrations is a strong advantage.
