Job description

HR Solutions is searching for a dynamic HR Generalist to join our team. Our company provides an integrated and cost-effective approach to the Human Resources related functions to various companies across a diverse industry portfolio.
This position will be responsible for assisting clients with day-to-day Human Resources projects and tasks including, but not limited to the following key responsibilities:
  • Work directly with our clients in developing & executing customized HR programs
  • Coordinate onboarding of new hires and pre-employment screening process
  • Support in recruiting efforts which may include resume reviewing and phone screens
  • Support clients with administrative tasks such as background requests, drug screenings, completion of HR-related correspondence
  • Leave administration such as FMLA, ADA, and Maternity
  • Knowledge of employment laws and compliance
  • Handle unemployment claims, up to participation in unemployment hearings
  • Works closely with the HR director and HR team on administrative tasks for clients
  • Focused job analysis and compensation studies
  • Investigations and complaints
  • Employee disciplinary actions, performance plans, and terminations

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Psychology or related field.
  • 2-3 years of HR Experience
  • SHRM or HRCI professional certification, preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to speak in front of groups, to business owners, members of management and employees
  • Candidate must reside in the Houston, TX or surrounding areas
