Summary

Global Furniture Group is a leading North American manufacturer of furniture solutions, offering a broad range of high-quality, value-driven products for the workplace, education, healthcare, and hospitality markets. This role supports Global's Furniture Dealers and Sales Representatives by creating 2D and 3D drawings, renderings, and providing product specifications for various furniture projects. The position involves managing project workload and collaborating with teams to offer design solutions and technical support. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while ensuring attention to detail in a remote work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Generate 2D and 3D drawings and renderings for furniture projects of various sizes.
  • Responsible for changes and revisions related to projects.
  • Manage scheduled project assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Specify all product lines along with a good understanding of product codes.
  • Collaborates with team to recommend design solutions, provide value engineering and overall design.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 6 to 10 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced AutoCAD and CET Configura skills for furniture specification and drawing generation.
  • Knowledge of product codes, product applications, and furniture specifications.
  • Strong understanding of furniture materials, finishes, and industry-specific specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of features and benefits of both existing and new furniture product lines.
  • Solid understanding of corporate, healthcare, and education furniture specifications.
  • Strong ability to quickly communicate design ideas and project direction to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and address a variety of concrete situations with limited standardization.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, managing multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of completing assignments proactively and on time.
  • Ability to self-manage and remain productive in a remote work environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strategic and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business periodicals, technical journals, procedures, and regulations.
  • Skilled in writing professional business correspondence and presenting information effectively to managers, clients, and customers.
  • Competent in performing basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Skilled at interpreting written, oral, and visual instructions in various forms (written, diagram, or schedule format).

Actual base pay offered will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
