Job Title: FinPath Financial Coach
Location: Remote
Reports To: Financial Coach Coordinator
Compensation: $65,000-$68,000 salary plus 10-15% yearly discretionary bonus
Scheduled Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm 3 days per week and 10:00am-7:00pm 2 days per week

Job Purpose:
As a FinPath Financial Coach, you will work one-on-one with participants to help them build healthy financial habits, overcome financial challenges, and create actionable plans aligned with their short and long-term goals.
You will serve as a trusted accountability partner, helping participants gain real confidence through education, behavior change, and personalized guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct confidential one-on-one financial coaching sessions via phone, video, and in person as applicable.
  • Travel occasionally to support in-person financial wellness events, employee benefits fairs, and on-site coaching engagements at employer client locations.
  • Guide participants in building action plans across budgeting, debt management, emergency savings, credit improvement, homeownership, student loans, retirement readiness, and other financial wellness topics.
  • Facilitate engaging financial wellness webinars, workshops, and group presentations for employer clients.
  • Apply a coaching approach (including motivational interviewing techniques) that drives lasting behavior change.
  • Document sessions accurately and consistently within HubSpot CRM.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and strong participant relationships throughout the coaching relationship.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support program engagement, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on personal finance topics, financial wellness trends, and coaching best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in financial coaching, financial education, credit counseling, banking, or related fields.
  • Strong working knowledge of personal finance: budgeting, debt, credit, savings, and retirement planning.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable facilitating both individual sessions and group workshops.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for in-person events and employer site visits.
  • Proficiency with virtual meeting platforms and standard productivity tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certification: CPFC, AFC, ChFC, or equivalent (or active pursuit of one).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish. (is a plus)
  • Motivational interviewing or structured coaching methodology training.
  • HubSpot CRM experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a remote or hybrid environment.
