Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders in clients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, taking into account their specific goals, needs, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to assist clients in managing their conditions.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and their families, informing them about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Track client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure integrated, holistic care for clients.
• Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of mental health to consistently enhance clinical practice.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to further develop your therapeutic skills.
• Advocate for clients, promoting awareness and destigmatization of mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on individuals experiencing mood disorders, which can range from mild to severe conditions. You will work with a diverse clientele, including those struggling with depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding these individuals toward improved mental health outcomes and enhanced quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
• A Master’s degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A solid understanding of California Law and Professional Ethics pertaining to mental health practice.
• A current TB test within the last six months, and successful completion of a background check through the FBI and DOJ.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of direct experience in counseling or therapy, preferably focused on mood disorders and related conditions.
• Experience working with clients who have learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and social-emotional challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000.
