Job description

  1. District Volunteer
    Assistive, partially independent or an independent volunteer is an individual who provides services to the school district, without compensation, and who works directly under the supervision and direction of a teacher or administrator employed by the district.  Volunteer activities range from indirect support of students and the school operations to more involved volunteerism including daily and overnight chaperones and coaching.  
    In order to help expedite the Volunteer application process, the District is moving to electronic submission of all forms for volunteers. This process will allow a volunteer to apply once for all school buildings in which they plan to volunteer.  As a reminder, all parents or residents who would like to volunteer in any capacity with the Phoenixville Area School District must fill out the volunteer application.
    Requirements for all PASD Volunteers:
    1.  PA Child Abuse Clearance -- You will need to apply online for your clearance after creating your individual login and this clearance must be less than 12 months old at the time of application:   Pennsylvania Child Welfare Information Solution (state.pa.us)
    2.  PA Criminal History Clearance -- You will need to apply online for your clearance on the PA State Police site and this clearance must be less than 12 months old at the time of application:  Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History - Home (state.pa.us)
    3.  Verification you have been a resident of PA for the last 10 years OR  FBI Criminal History Clearance.  If you HAVE been a Pennsylvania Resident for 10 consecutive years prior to the date of your volunteer application, you MUST complete this Volunteer Affirmation Form . If you HAVE NOT been a resident of Pennsylvania for the last 10 years, please complete the FBI Criminal History Clearance.
