Job description

Responsibilities

The Meadows Psychiatric Center is the leading behavioral health treatment facility in Central Pennsylvania. We are located a short distance outside State College, PA. The Meadows is a 119 inpatient behavioral health hospital and has been providing comprehensive services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults for over 35 years.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Copy of student’s resume
  • Application through net – the student must apply to one of the “Intern” postings on our careers page
  • Precheck Background Screening – emailed to the intern upon completion of the application
  • Negative Drug Screen – scheduled by the intern through Precheck
  • Proof of COVID Vaccine
  • Proof of Flu Vaccination
  • Proof of TB vaccination with in last 12 months - this needs to be within the last 12 months from the start date of the internship.
  • Copy of ChildLine Clearance, PA State Criminal Clearance and FBI Background Clearance- must be within the last 12 months from the start date of internship, preferably within the previous six months.
  • Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training Certificate. If student does not have certificate, prior to internship the training must be completed using the approved on-line training.  There is no cost for this training.  The approved training site is: pitt.edu.
  • Liability Certificate of Insurance (if not provided by school) - Student/Professional Liability Insurance in amount of either $1 million per occurrence or $3 million aggregate.
