Position Overview

Deep Understanding Healthcare Services, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time position allows for remote work while providing essential mental health services to a diverse client population. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, offering flexibility and convenience while maintaining a strong collaborative team atmosphere. The work setting is a community health clinic environment, where mental health counselors engage in telehealth services and face-to-face appointments. Despite the remote nature, counselors benefit from regular communication with colleagues, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning, to establish appropriate therapeutic goals for each client.
• Engage in culturally sensitive practices to provide tailored support to clients from various socioeconomic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
• Participate in crisis intervention and diversion as necessary, utilizing therapeutic techniques to de-escalate situations effectively.
• Maintain accurate clinical records through Electronic Health Records (EHR), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and other privacy standards.
• Collaborate with clients and their families, monitoring treatment progress and behavioral changes while providing guidance on necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Provide case management services that include advocacy and linkages to community resources, enhancing clients' access to additional support systems.
• Engage in ongoing professional development such as attending training, conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance skills and meet agency standards.
• Maintain a caseload that maximizes client engagement while ensuring that each client's needs are met through focused and effective therapeutic approaches.
• Assist in supervising and mentoring junior therapists and interns, fostering a growth-oriented environment within the team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will serve a diverse population, including adults and adolescents facing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, family conflicts, addiction, and suicidal tendencies. Our clients come from different walks of life, and it is crucial for our counselors to deliver compassionate care that respects their individuality and unique circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a human services-related field is required.
• Active licensure in the state of Washington as one of the following: LPC, LMFT, or LICSW.
• Demonstrable skills in active listening and a strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) for effective documentation and communication.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, essential for interacting with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• The ability to work efficiently both independently and as a collaborative team member.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with a capability to meet productivity expectations and deadlines.
• Must pass DC & FBI criminal background checks throughout employment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting, specifically working with diverse populations experiencing mental health challenges.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral systems for integrated care.
• Experience in crisis intervention and managing severe mental health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 50,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
