Job description

Introduction
The Department of Corrections is focused on public safety through the custody and supervision of those in our care. Corrections employees have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others through careers in a variety of fields. The Department of Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Psychologist Supervisor position. This position is based out of Oshkosh Correctional Institution in Oshkosh, WI (Winnebago County).
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the overall administration and supervision of the Psychological Services Unit (PSU) at Oshkosh Correctional Institution (OSCI).
This oversight is accomplished in accordance with the clinical and administrative priorities set by the Bureau of Health Services (BHS). The PSU Supervisor participates as part of the facility's administrative team and collaborates with institution leadership including the Warden and Deputy Warden.
The Psychologist Supervisor is responsible for the development, administration, supervision and coordination of all psychological services programs within the facility.
This position provides clinical and administrative supervision to Psychological Services Unit staff; provides direct services to patients; provides consultation to institution administration and staff; administers the psychological services program to ensure patient access to mental healthcare in compliance with State and Federal guidelines and program standards.
The Psychologist Supervisor also manages an Affirmative Action Plan and Health and Safety program within assigned responsibility areas.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 81-02 with a starting pay of $56.82/hour .
(Minimum effective annual salary including the two add-ons below would be: $141,065/year.)
Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A two-year Career Executive trial period will be required, or for those with permanent status as a Career Executive, a twelve-month probationary period may be required instead.
Additional Pay:
Employees in possession of a Doctorate of Psychology (or equivalent) may be eligible for supplemental pay of an additional $6.00 per hour.
Employees in possession of a permanent License to practice Psychology may be eligible for supplemental pay of an additional $5.00 per hour.

Job Details
This position offers an optional hybrid remote work schedule, allowing up to 1 day remote per week (after training is complete).
Any remote work must be performed from Wisconsin.
Anticipated schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM.
This position will also have backup on-call responsibilities shared with the rest of the PSU which may include, nights, weekends, and holidays.
This position is FLSA Exempt.
This position is not anticipated to travel on a regular basis, but most DOC positions occasionally travel for training, meetings, conferences, or similar events.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Applicants must possess current Wisconsin licensure as a Psychologist or be licensed in another state and be eligible to obtain Wisconsin licensure by time of appointment. Employees must maintain licensure during employment.

  • Applicants must obtain certification in CPR by the American Heart Association and training in use of the AED within three months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
