We are seeking a highly experienced, client-facing Senior Tax Strategist to drive our company’s strategic planning mission. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing complex taxation matters, a proven ability to develop new tax-saving strategies, and strong leadership skills to supervise a team of tax professionals. The role serves as the lead advisor for high net worth clients, turning sophisticated tax law into proactive, wealth growing financial plans. The Senior Tax Strategist will lead a Tax Advisory pod, under the direction and supervision of the President. 

Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in tax strategy, advisory, or public accounting, with a dedicated focus on business entity and high-net-worth individual taxation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is required; Master’s is preferred
  • Enrolled Agent license is required; a CPA is a plus
  • Expert, demonstrable knowledge in multiple complex areas related to corporate and personal tax planning strategies
  • Advanced proficiency with efficiency, workflow, communication, and tax planning and preparation software (G-Suite, Canopy, CS Planner, UltraTax, Slack, Zoom, etc.)


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary strategic relationship owner for a dedicated portfolio of high-net-worth clients, managing their overall expectations regarding tax strategy and execution
  • Lead high-level client meetings to present complex strategic recommendations and tax projections in a clear, persuasive, and actionable manner
  • Manage and prioritize daily client communications, providing clear, concise guidance in response to complex technical questions
  • Proactively conceive, design, and implement advanced, proprietary tax strategies to significantly reduce clients’ overall tax liability
  • Review complex tax returns to ensure strict adherence to planning strategies and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of tax professionals
  • Serve as a technical resource for the team, resolving advanced tax questions related to complex transactions, entity restructuring, and specialized planning strategies
  • Collaborate with leadership to refine departmental best practices and streamline workflows, driving efficiency and technical excellence across the entire tax planning lifecycle
  • Proactively monitor legislative changes and immediately assess the impact on client portfolios, collaborating to develop responsible strategies
  • Identify opportunities for expanded advisory services within the existing client base
