About the Role

As a Consultant II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful conversion and implementation of customer data into Integrated Banking Systems (IBS). You will analyze customer data, business processes, and operational requirements to design accurate data mappings and conversion strategies. Working closely with clients, technical teams, and implementation partners, you will help ensure data integrity, operational readiness, and a seamless transition to FIS solutions. Success in this role is measured by conversion accuracy, client satisfaction, risk mitigation, and successful implementation outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Analyze customer data files, workflows, and business requirements to develop comprehensive data conversion strategies.

  • Create and maintain field-to-field data mapping documentation that supports accurate and efficient data migration.

  • Validate and reconcile conversion data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with customer requirements.

  • Configure customer-specific processing parameters and system settings within IBS solutions.

  • Execute testing activities, review conversion results, and identify opportunities to improve data quality and processing accuracy.

  • Partner with clients and technical teams to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.

  • Lead readiness reviews by coordinating testing, training validation, procedural reviews, and operational preparedness activities.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor during implementation and conversion events, providing troubleshooting, issue resolution, and client support.

  • Communicate project status, risks, and conversion outcomes to stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.

  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance conversion efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • 5+ years of experience within a banking environment.

  • Experience performing data mapping, data validation, data analysis, and conversion activities for banking or financial services systems.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data structures.

  • Ability to translate customer business requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable solutions.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills with experience supporting both remote and onsite engagements.

  • Experience managing multiple priorities while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across clients, implementation teams, and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of FIS products and services, particularly Integrated Banking Systems (IBS).

  • Experience with core deposit applications and exceptions processing.

  • Understanding of banking operations, data conversion methodologies, and implementation best practices.
