Epic Clinical Applications Analyst IV (Radiant/Cupid)

The Clinical Applications Analyst IV plays a strategic role in advancing Moffitt’s mission to prevent and cure cancer by leading enterprise-wide initiatives involving clinical and integrated applications that impact patient care, research, and organizational excellence. This senior-expert role drives technical strategy, manages complex projects, mentors analysts across multiple levels, and ensures innovative, secure, and highly reliable technology solutions. By aligning technology initiatives with clinical and research priorities, the Analyst IV helps enable world-class cancer care and discovery at Moffitt.

Job Responsibilities:

The Clinical Applications Analyst IV will:

  • Lead the planning, design, development, validation, implementation, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of highly complex, enterprise-wide clinical and integrated systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve multifaceted technology issues spanning applications, software, hardware, interfaces, databases, and system security.
  • Perform quality assurance and integrated testing of current and newly released vendor functionality to ensure enterprise reliability.
  • Coordinate and lead projects across multiple applications, developing enterprise-wide enhancements, reports, and process improvements aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Analysts I–III, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Engage in strategic enterprise initiatives and serve as a technical and clinical systems subject matter expert.
  • Provide 24/7 support for enterprise applications within scope of accountability.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IS, Healthcare, or related field of study is required.

Licensing/Certification: Current Epic Certification in Radiant and Cupid required. Lumens is preferred.

Epic Badges preferred: Data Courier/Decision Tree.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 10+ years applicable system build experience; expert-level, enterprise-wide impact. Prior Epic implementation experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Focus on experience with ancillary healthcare information systems/applications

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with workflow analysis or development of application solutions preferred.
  • Experience in Epic applications, other electronic health record applications, and/or healthcare operations background (e.g., clinical, billing, scheduling, access services, health information management, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with healthcare information systems including application and data layer management preferred.
  • Experience with PACS systems preferred.
  • Experience with systems provisioning/security and Active Directory structures preferred.
  • Experience with integration platforms including middleware and application interfaces preferred.

Minimum Skills/Specialized Training Required

  • Expert-level knowledge of enterprise applications.
  • Ability to handle complex and high-pressure situations.
  • Experience in project management and team leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Must hold EPIC certification in designated application areas (Radiant & Cupid)
  • Excellent presentation and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to remote sites as applicable
  • Experience building, testing, and optimizing workflows in Epic Radiant and Cupid  modules; Lumens experience preferred.

Preferred Skills/Specialized Training:

  • Knowledge of clinical, business, and/or operational healthcare hospital/clinic workflows preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio preferred.
  • Strong project management and presentation skills preferred.
  • Professional level certification from an accredited organization in relevant informatics, health information technology, clinical or business specialties preferred.

NOTE: Travel to our Tampa Florida campus will be required based on project/team needs. Approximately once per month.
