What Are Remote EMR Jobs?

Remote EMR jobs include a variety of positions that help support, configure, and use electronic medical records systems. In these roles, you may install or maintain EMR software, implement company protocols to safeguard patient information, configure each system as needed, or train other people to use the software. As a remote employee, you may use a telephone or video chat system to interact with others or use remote access software to configure other computer systems. These jobs usually work regular hours, but employers may ask you to be available on-call for problems or errors that crop up outside of regular hours.

These jobs are popular because they offer flexibility and can be performed by medical records specialists, coders, or IT professionals with experience in healthcare data management. Remote EMR workers help ensure accurate and secure digital recordkeeping, supporting healthcare providers in delivering efficient patient care.

VP, EMR DATA STRATEGY AND ALLIANCES - POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Define and lead Mosaic's EMR data strategy-establishing the vision, priorities, and roadmap for accessing structured clinical data at scale across our partner and client network.
  • Build and manage strategic alliances with EHR vendors (Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, and others) at the enterprise level, positioning Mosaic as a trusted integration and innovation partner.
  • Identify and pursue data alliance opportunities with health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, QHINs, and third-party data intermediaries that can accelerate access to high-quality clinical data.
  • Structure and negotiate complex data agreements-including data use agreements, API partnerships, and multi-party alliance contracts-in close collaboration with Legal.
  • Drive the embedding of clinical data access rights into Mosaic's commercial frameworks, ensuring new and existing agreements support our long-term data strategy.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to translate strategic data access into implemented integration serving as the bridge between external alliances and internal technical execution.
  • Evaluate the evolving landscape of FHIR-enabled platforms, HIEs, and data intermediaries; make informed build-vs-partner recommendations that balance speed and long-term strategic control.
  • Represent Mosaic's EMR data strategy to senior leadership and external stakeholders; serve as the company's authority on clinical data interoperability and the competitive dynamics it creates.
  • Up to 50% travel; this role demands frequent engagement with external partners, health systems, and vendors across the US and internationally.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proven track record of developing and closing strategic data or technology partnerships with large, complex healthcare organizations.
  • 15+ years of experience in EMR Data and/or related fields.
  • Deep familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR R4, HL7) and the major EHR vendor ecosystems; understanding of what it takes to negotiate access at the platform level, not just the site level.
  • Experience structuring complex data agreements and navigating the legal and compliance landscape around healthcare data (HIPAA, BAAs, data governance frameworks).
  • Experience with AI/ML-enabled healthcare solutions, PACS/Imaging, clinical decision support, or data analytics platforms.
  • Executive presence and relationship-building skills; ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders at health systems, IDNs, and technology vendors.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset-able to frame clinical data access as a value driver for partners and translate that into agreements that move quickly.
  • Familiarity with clinical workflows in acute care and radiology; ability to connect data strategy to real clinical and product use cases.

WHY MOSAIC CLINICAL TECHNOLOGIES:
  • Competitive Benefits package - Eligibility starts the month after hire, with tiered options to choose from.
  • Compensation Reviews, Career Growth Opportunities
