This full-time position is offered remotely, allowing you to provide high-quality mental health services from the comfort of your own home. Our ideal candidate is passionate about enhancing community health, particularly among maternal clients and medically underserved populations. You will play a crucial role in delivering therapeutic care that addresses social determinants of health, ultimately improving the lives of our clients.

About the Organization

Freedom and Wellness Counseling, Inc. is committed to offering comprehensive mental health support through a telehealth model. Our organization values inclusivity and diversity, providing care to a variety of client backgrounds and experiences. We focus on innovative treatment solutions that are accessible and effective. By utilizing telehealth platforms, we endeavor to reach individuals who may otherwise face barriers in accessing mental health services.

Work Environment

The remote telehealth setting allows our therapists to leverage technology to deliver flexible and accessible mental health services. Our virtual team collaborates closely while maintaining a strong commitment to compassionate care. We provide a supportive atmosphere that prioritizes clinical excellence and community engagement, ensuring our therapists have the resources they need to be successful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic models, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and brief therapies, to address the needs of clients in counseling sessions.
  • Provide clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers and therapy assistants, guiding them to enhance the quality of patient care.
  • Collaborate with community professionals to develop integrated treatment plans that reflect a cross-system approach to care.
  • Assess clients' needs through comprehensive intake sessions and integrated biopsychosocial assessments, establishing a complex diagnosis as per DSM V standards.
  • Implement effective treatment plans tailored to each client's individual diagnosis, utilizing a blend of therapeutic modalities and supportive counseling.
  • Manage crisis situations by assessing the urgency of client needs, providing immediate care, and directing clients to appropriate services promptly.
  • Conduct educational training sessions to empower team members and the community on various clinical subjects as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records systems, ensuring compliance with confidentiality and legal standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily support maternal clients and other groups who are experiencing various mental health challenges, including co-occurring disorders. Our commitment to providing care to medically underserved populations is at the heart of what we do, and your work will directly contribute to improving mental health outcomes for these individuals.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work from an accredited program (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD).
  • An independent license in the state of Oregon, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency disorders.
  • Exceptional capability to manage a significant caseload, collaborating efficiently with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven dedication to enhancing the lives of clients and advancing the field of behavioral healthcare.
  • Strong skills in electronic medical records systems, familiar with Windows applications and proficient email communication.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior training in evidence-based practices is highly desirable, as we aim to integrate the most effective treatment methodologies into our service delivery.
  • Experience working with maternal health clients or medically underserved populations is also preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance to ensure your well-being.
  • Life and disability insurance for peace of mind.
  • Professional liability insurance that protects your practice.
  • An employee assistance program focused on mental health support.
  • Minimal paperwork requirements to allow you to focus on providing care.
