The Role

As a Demand Planner, you'll be a key member of the Integrated Planning team, managing the consensus demand forecast to provide the most accurate estimate possible for current and future sales. You'll build and maintain forecast and demand planning models for region, channel, and customers by incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from sales, marketing, operations, product, retailer replenishment, sell-through analysis, and more.

Your Impact

  • Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for various time horizons by analyzing historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, lifecycle, customer POs, and projections
  • Share forecast assumptions and the impact of strategic activities with broader teams and stakeholders
  • Perform ongoing analysis and monitoring of actual performance versus forecasted plan, identify significant variances, take corrective actions, and detail assumptions
  • Coordinate and lead the demand consensus process to identify changes in the demand plan, achieve consensus around key drivers, and call out significant changes
  • Collaborate with supply planning to ensure successful inventory management throughout the item lifecycle
  • Review external and internal data points for decision making on current demand plan
  • Work with Sales and Merchandising partners to understand and challenge demand assumptions
  • Update plans in-system and lead review of plan updates to garner sign off

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree; degree in supply chain management, merchandising, or related field preferred
  • Certifications in demand and/or supply planning and data management are a plus
  • 3-5 years' work experience in retail, buying, planning, or sales operations
  • Exposure to manufacturing and supply chain
  • Experience in planning, inventory management, commercial analysis, operations, buying/procurement, financial analysis, or logistics/distribution
  • Demonstrates high levels of autonomy and ability to self-start
  • Systems aptitude: planning and data management systems
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, creative problem solver
  • Highly successful in a team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with presentation and meeting facilitation skills
  • Aptitude for numerical and statistical analysis
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for actionable insight
  • Understanding of common demand planning metrics and drivers
