As a Regulatory Document Intern, you will join our Digital Sector supporting the Program Operations team on the Global Solutions Management - Operations II (GSM-O II) contract. This position is 100% remote (with a primary focus on U.S. Eastern and Central time zones), offering a unique opportunity to gain exposure to real-world program operations, government contracting processes, and cross-functional collaboration within a massive, $600M+ global defense organization.
Your Opportunity:
Are you looking to understand how massive government defense contracts are actually managed and sustained? As an intern on the Process Operations team, you will assist in managing the critical documentation and contract deliverables (CDRLs) that keep the GSM-O II contract compliant and moving forward. This role offers direct insight into government contracting and the operational support functions essential to a major defense contractor.
What You'll Do (Potential Projects & Learning Opportunities):
  • Assist with the tracking, organizing, and management of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables across GSM-O II and other division programs.
  • Support the scheduling and coordination of critical document submissions to government customers.
  • Gain hands-on experience helping to prepare, review, and format official reports and deliverables for submission.
  • Participate in team meetings, assisting with the documentation and tracking of action items.
  • Coordinate with technical and operational team members to ensure delivery timelines and compliance requirements are understood.
  • Maintain highly organized records of all documentation and delivery statuses.
  • Support ongoing process improvement efforts, AI integration, and documentation standardization initiatives.

What You'll Bring (Required):
  • Citizenship & Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen. A security clearance is not required to start. However, selected candidates must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance post-onboarding, which Leidos will sponsor if necessary.
  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree (Business, English, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred).
  • Professional Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Tools: Basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment, manage multiple tasks, and coordinate across different functional groups.
  • Location: This internship is 100% remote. Candidates must be based in the United States and have a reliable internet connection to support remote work and video conferencing capabilities.

What We Want (Desired):
  • A strong interest in government contracting, technical writing, or program operations.
  • Experience with academic or internship-based report writing, editing, or documentation.
  • Familiarity with project coordination, administrative support tasks, or SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with IT and software terminology.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to meet strict delivery deadlines.
