As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Beyond Social Work Center, you will:

• Provide individual psychotherapy to patients undergoing treatment for substance abuse and related mental health concerns.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans focused on evidence-based approaches.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) specifically designed for substance abuse recovery.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical records in accordance with state regulations and organizational standards.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the treatment team to ensure coordinated care and support for patients and their families.
• Educate patients and their families on available mental health resources and strategies to support recovery.
• Stay abreast of current research and innovations in mental health and incorporate them into your therapeutic practice.
• Manage your caseload efficiently, setting and achieving treatment goals while adhering to ethical standards.

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of patients facing challenges related to both substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. This includes individuals from various backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, each requiring unique and personalized treatment approaches. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding them through their recovery journey, helping to instill hope and resilience.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience, specifically in the field of substance abuse therapy.
• A strong understanding of solution-focused interventions and methodologies.
• Effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, essential for working within a dynamic treatment team.

Although not mandatory, preferred candidates will have experience working in hospice settings, as well as knowledge of trauma-informed care practices. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly for documenting patient interactions and treatment plans, is also desirable.
