Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Application Architect to help drive the architecture and strategy of a Customer Master Data Management (MDM) application within the banking domain. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, scalability, and alignment of customer data systems across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a strategic mindset to drive architectural decisions that support business goals and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Strategy

  • Design and maintain theCustomer MDM Application Roadmap, including goals, patterns, and technologies.
  • Develop and deliverArchitecture Productssuch as Solution Approaches, Recommendations, and Technical Roadmaps tailored to banking data needs.
  • Align application architecture withEnterprise Architectureand regulatory standards
  • Providehigh-level estimatesfor solution efforts and integration complexity.

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as atechnical experton customer data architecture, includinglogical and physical data modeling,SQL optimization, anddata stewardship practices.
  • Guide development teams onAPI design,event-driven architecture, andintegration patternsfor customer data across banking applications.
  • Collaborate with other architects to ensurecross-application data consistencyandmaster data governance.

Communication & Documentation

  • Communicate effectively withbusiness stakeholders, leadership, and technical teams, translating complex data architecture into actionable insights.
  • Document and organize technical components includingTech Debt, Scorecards, Component Catalogs, System Contexts, and App-to-App Integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience as technical lead inAPI design,event-driven systems, anddata frameworks.
  • 3 years of experience with SQL,data modeling,data governance, andintegration architecture.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Leadership experience in organizing teams and driving architectural decisions.

Optimal Additional Skills:

  • Experience inCustomer Master Data Management
  • Experiencein thebanking or financial servicesindustry
  • Experience with modernizing legacy mainframe applications.

Compensation Range:

70,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
