GovCIO is currently hiring for a Junior Cyber Security Engineer / Cyber Security Associate 1. We are looking for a Junior Cyber Security Engineer who will assist in preparing and maintaining ATO documentation.
This position will be fully remote within the United States.
Responsibilities
This role requires attention to detail, an understanding of cyber security principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal security standards.
Duties:
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of ATO documentation in accordance with federal guidelines.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security requirements and address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation.
  • Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree and 0-2 years of experieince. (or commensurate experience)
    • A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of cyber security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with federal security standards and guidelines, including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and thorough documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust Clearnace.
