Job Title: Senior Engineer

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Senior Engineer at Canopy, you will play a pivotal role in developing, enhancing, and scaling our groundbreaking products and services from building new features to optimizing existing systems. You'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects that have a meaningful impact on the lives of healthcare workers. Here are some of the challenges you'll tackle:

  • Innovate: Work on cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with a team of top engineers to design, develop, and implement solutions that have a meaningful impact on healthcare workers' lives.
  • Mastery: Develop both front-end and back-end components of our applications, ensuring seamless user experiences on top of our robust and scalable kubernetes platform.
  • Influence: Participate in brainstorming sessions, code reviews, and architectural discussions to shape the direction of our products and services.
  • Problem solve: Tackle complex technical problems and find creative solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other engineers, in our remote-first organization to bring innovative ideas to life.
  • Mentorship: Share your knowledge and expertise with team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in development
  • Proficiency with modern front-end frameworks (e.g. Vue.js and React) and backend technologies, especially Node.js.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with database systems (SQL and NoSQL), API design, and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively, particularly in a remote setting.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
