The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for mental health and the desire to supervise and mentor emerging therapists during their clinical training.

About the Organization

At Phoenix Counseling Services, we envision a world where mental health is celebrated and prioritized. Our mission focuses on empowering individuals through their unique journeys of healing and self-discovery. We combine compassionate care with evidence-based practices, striving to bridge the gap between mental health and everyday life. We foster an environment not just for clients, but also for our team members, supporting their professional growth and overall well-being.

Work Environment

This position operates in a fully remote setting, providing professionals with the flexibility to balance work and personal commitments effectively. As part of our outpatient office, licensed therapists work together to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere, enhancing client experiences while maintaining a colleague-centered approach. We prioritize a strong work/life balance, coupled with full administrative support to ensure therapists can focus entirely on their practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly supervision sessions for practicum students and new clinicians working towards their clinical licensure, providing guidance and feedback on their clinical skills.
  • Deliver individual, couples, and family psychotherapy services, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to formulate and execute comprehensive treatment plans that promote holistic health.
  • Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation through electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by staying informed about latest research and therapeutic techniques within the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a diverse clientele, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. We aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions and experiences, facilitating their journey toward healing and growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required for this role.
  • Current valid license as a Mental Health Therapist in the state of New York (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R).
  • Professional liability insurance is necessary to ensure both the therapist's and clients' security.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience working in a direct mental health capacity.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with practicum students or in an educational supervisory role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $52,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience and part-time/full-time status. Our benefits package is designed to support the holistic well-being of our staff and includes:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life insurance and paid parental leave to support work-life balance.
  • Paid holidays and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for personal and emotional support.
  • A collegial work environment that encourages collaboration and professional development.
  • Full administrative support to allow our therapists to focus on patient care.
  • Access to unlimited earning potential through performance-based incentives.
