Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring comprehensive care and support.
• Facilitate weekly supervision sessions for practicum students working toward clinical licensure or in their Master’s programs, providing guidance on case formulation and therapy techniques.
• Provide psychotherapy to a diverse range of clients, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address various mental health challenges.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community resources to create a well-rounded support network for clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client therapy sessions and progress notes in compliance with state regulations.
• Engage in continuous learning through up-to-date research, best practices, and advancements in the field of therapy, integrating these into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Phoenix Counseling Services, you will work with a diverse client base encompassing individuals, couples, and families. Your expertise will guide clients through various mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must possess:

• A Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker-R.
• Professional liability insurance to practice safely and responsibly.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing therapy with a focus on practical understanding of client care.

Preferred Experience

While the above qualifications are essential, preferred candidates will have prior experience within a telehealth setting or familiarity with digital communication tools that facilitate remote counseling. Experience supervising trainee therapists is an advantage, as it enhances our mentoring culture.
