What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Content Marketing professional, and why are they important?

To excel in Remote Content Marketing, you need strong writing, editing, and digital marketing skills, usually supported by a background in communications, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with content management systems (like WordPress), SEO tools (such as SEMrush or Ahrefs), and analytics platforms (like Google Analytics) is essential. Creativity, self-motivation, and excellent time management are standout soft skills for this remote role. These capabilities are crucial for producing engaging content, driving online visibility, and ensuring consistent results while working independently.

What is remote content marketing?

Remote content marketing refers to the creation, distribution, and management of digital content—such as blog posts, articles, social media updates, and videos—to promote a brand or product, all performed by professionals working from locations outside a traditional office. These marketers use digital tools to collaborate with teams, create engaging content, and analyze performance metrics from anywhere with internet access. This flexibility allows companies to tap into a global talent pool and enables marketers to work from home or other remote locations.

How does a remote content marketing professional typically collaborate with team members and stakeholders?

Remote content marketers frequently use digital collaboration tools such as Slack, Trello, and Google Workspace to communicate with team members, brainstorm ideas, and track project progress. Regular video meetings and check-ins are common to align on content strategy, gather feedback, and coordinate with designers, SEO specialists, and product managers. Strong written communication and proactive updates are essential for ensuring everyone stays informed and projects move forward smoothly, despite the physical distance.

What Are Remote Content Marketing Jobs?

Remote content marketing jobs include being a content manager, an SEO specialist, a social media manager, a copywriter, a PR specialist, or a content creator. Your specific duties may be more managerial in nature, designing strategies for your clients or supervising a group of content creators or copywriters, or you may be more involved with the actual content or product creation. If you work in graphic design, you create the visual or typographic features for print marketing material, digital material, or the look of a website. Since this is a work from home position, your job may have extra communication duties.

Job description

About KLDiscovery

KLDiscovery is a leading provider of eDiscovery software and services combining unparalleled client service, deep domain expertise, and modern digital tools to help clients navigate complex legal, regulatory, and data challenges

(Senior Individual Contributor level, remote anywhere in the US preferred)

The Role

KLDiscovery is seeking a Senior Content Marketing Manager to lead the development of high-impact, insight-driven content that strengthens our brand authority, engagement, and drives measurable pipeline growth.

This is a role for a strategic builder and hands-on operator, someone who can develop a clear content vision while also executing with precision. You will transform complex legal, technical, and data-driven concepts into compelling narratives that resonate with enterprise and legal audiences.

You will play a critical role in shaping how KLDiscovery shows up in the marketing, owning not just content creation, but how content is structured, scaled, and continuously improved.

The ideal candidate is intellectually curious and thrives in complexity. You are energized by turning dense, technical subject matter into clear, persuasive storytelling. You are highly proficient in using AI as a force multiplier; you can generate, refine, and elevate content while ensuring it meets strict standards for accuracy, tone, and brand consistency. You operate with a balance of speed and precision, and you are comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment where content directly impacts revenue.

This role will report into the VP of Product Marketing and Content Strategy. Annual salary for the position is $80,000 to $115,000.

What You'll Do

Content Strategy and Planning

  • Build and own content strategy aligned to the buyer journey
  • Develop quarterly content plans tied to campaigns and go-to-market priorities
  • Partner with Demand Generation and Product Marketing to drive pipeline impact

Content Development and Thought Leadership

  • Create and lead the development of range of content, including white papers, case studies, blogs, webinars, and other strategic assets
  • Translate complex eDiscovery topics into clear, engaging content
  • Develop content that positions KLDiscovery as a trusted and differentiated industry voice

AI-Driven Content Creation and Optimization

  • Leverage generative AI tools to support content creation, research, and ideation
  • Apply prompt engineering techniques to produce on-brand, high-quality outputs
  • Edit and refine AI-generated content to meet standards for tone, accuracy, and clarity

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Support and elevate sales enablement with case studies and supporting assets
  • Interview internal experts and translate insights into high-impact content

SEO and Performance Optimization

  • Optimize content for search and discoverability
  • Track performance including traffic, engagement, and conversion
  • Use analytics tools to continuously refine and improve content performance

Lead Generation Support

  • Develop and optimize gated content to support lead generation and nurturing
  • Align content with campaigns to drive MQL and SQL growth
  • Continuously improve content effectiveness based on conversion and pipeline performance

What You Bring

  • 5 to 8+ years of content marketing experience in B2B, SaaS, or legal technology
  • Proven ability to create high-quality, technical content for professional or enterprise audiences
  • Demonstrated experience using generative AI tools for content creation, editing, and optimization, including prompt engineering and output refinement
  • Strong understanding of content strategy, demand generation, and pipeline growth
  • Experience working with SEO/GEO/AIO best practices and analytical tools
  • Creative problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments, manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in eDiscovery, legal technology, or litigation support
  • Understanding of legal workflows and data management
  • Experience creating content for legal, technical, or enterprise audiences

Success Metrics

  • Content contribution to pipeline, lead generation, and revenue generation
  • Engagement and performance metrics across content channels
