How do remote content creators typically collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project alignment?

Remote content creators often use collaboration tools such as Slack, Trello, or Google Workspace to communicate with team members and clients. Regular virtual meetings, shared project boards, and clear documentation help ensure everyone is aligned on content goals, deadlines, and brand guidelines. Building strong relationships and setting expectations upfront can significantly improve workflow and project outcomes.

What is remote content creation?

Remote content creation refers to the process of producing digital content—such as articles, videos, graphics, or social media posts—from a location outside of a traditional office setting. Content creators work remotely using digital tools to collaborate with teams, manage projects, and publish work online. This flexible job allows professionals to work from anywhere while contributing to marketing, education, entertainment, or other fields that require engaging digital content.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Content Creator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Content Creator, you need strong writing, editing, research skills, and often a background in communications, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with content management systems (like WordPress), SEO tools (such as SEMrush or Ahrefs), and graphic design platforms (like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is typically required. Creativity, self-motivation, and effective time management are essential soft skills for producing engaging content and meeting deadlines independently. These abilities are vital for delivering high-quality, audience-focused content while collaborating seamlessly in a virtual work environment.

Job description

We’re looking for a Written Content Creator / Copywriter who can produce clear, confident, and persuasive written content for B2C and B2B brands. This is a 1099 role

This role is focused specifically on written content—not visual content creation. You will develop messaging that supports marketing, sales, and brand storytelling across a range of audiences, including fabricators, dealers, trade partners, and corporate stakeholders.

This role blends craft, speed, and judgment. You’ll be comfortable using AI tools to generate first drafts or outlines, then applying your own expertise to refine, humanize, and align content to each brand’s voice, business objectives, and customer reality.

You understand that AI can get you started—but brand credibility, clarity, and nuance come from you.

You thrive in a test-and-learn environment, where content is created, refined, and improved continuously to better support business outcomes.

***This is a remote 1099 part time role, working 10-20 hours per week***

What You’ll Do

Create high-volume written content across channels

Develop and refine written content including:

  • Product and service descriptions
  • Email campaigns and nurture sequences
  • Website and landing page copy
  • Blog posts, thought leadership, and educational content
  • Sales enablement tools and internal communications
  • Trade, logistics, and corporate messaging

Deliver content that is clear, practical, and aligned to business goals.

Write, edit, and proofread with consistency and accuracy

  • Draft content efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Edit and refine for clarity, tone, and effectiveness
  • Proofread all materials to ensure:
  • Accuracy of product and service information
  • Grammar, spelling, and consistency
  • Alignment with brand voice and standards

Consistently deliver clean, ready-to-use written content.

Operate in a test-and-learn content model

  • Produce content quickly to support campaigns and business priorities
  • Iterate based on feedback, performance, and evolving needs
  • Explore different messaging approaches, headlines, and formats
  • Continuously improve content based on real-world application

Leverage AI and content tools to increase speed and output

  • Use AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to:
  • Generate drafts and outlines
  • Create variations and alternate angles
  • Repurpose content across formats
  • Apply strong editorial judgment to ensure all content is:
  • Accurate and credible
  • Audience-relevant
  • Clear and human in tone

Translate business needs into effective content

  • Develop an understanding of how each brand operates:
  • Fabricators, trade professionals, distribution
  • Service reliability and operational excellence
  • Brand storytelling, culture, and reputation
  • Turn business priorities into content that:
  • Supports marketing and sales efforts
  • Communicates value clearly
  • Drives engagement and decision-making

Collaborate across teams

  • Partner with marketing, sales, product, logistics, and leadership teams to:
  • Gather inputs and validate content accuracy
  • Align messaging with customer needs
  • Ensure consistency across brands and channels

Maintain clarity and brand consistency

  • Apply appropriate tone and messaging for each brand and audience
  • Keep writing straightforward, useful, and easy to understand
  • Reinforce credibility, trust, and expertise in every piece

What You Bring

Writing, editing, and proofreading expertise

  • 3+ years of experience in written content creation (B2B preferred)
  • Strong ability to write clearly, edit effectively, and proofread thoroughly
  • High attention to detail and consistency

High-output mindset

  • Comfortable producing content at a steady pace
  • Able to balance speed with quality
  • Energized by creating, refining, and improving content continuously

Business and audience awareness

  • Understand how organizations market and sell products/services
  • Can tailor content to different audiences and use cases
  • Focused on content effectiveness—not just style

AI fluency

  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate writing workflows
  • Strong judgment in refining and validating AI-generated content
  • Uses AI to enhance productivity while maintaining quality

Clear and practical communication style

  • Skilled at simplifying complex information
  • Writes in a way that is direct, useful, and easy to understand

Collaborative and adaptable approach

  • Works effectively across teams and functions
  • Open to feedback and iteration
  • Able to manage shifting priorities across multiple brands

Nice to Have

  • Experience in manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or materials industries
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals
  • Experience working with content performance metrics
  • Comfort working with subject matter experts and translating insights into content

What Success Looks Like

  • Written content is clear, accurate, and aligned to business goals
  • Output is consistent and reliable across brands and channels
  • Content supports marketing and sales efforts effectively
  • Volume increases while maintaining quality and credibility
  • You become a trusted partner for delivering ready-to-use written content quickly and effectively
