Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and group therapy, working directly with clients dealing with major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and optimize care plans aimed at addressing clients’ unique needs, ensuring the effective exchange of information among clients, family members, and other providers.
  • Conduct brief and evidence-based assessments and screenings, arranging for further evaluations when necessary.
  • Assist in crisis intervention efforts, responding to clients’ urgent needs to ensure their well-being and safety.
  • Manage a caseload that includes regular assessments, therapy sessions, and ongoing monitorings such as admissions, treatment progress, and discharge criteria.
  • Work on professional development goals and provide input to enhance service delivery as part of our continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Participate in agency committees focused on performance improvement and service delivery standards.
  • Provide timely completion of client reports and necessary documentation to support ongoing accountability and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with professional ethical guidelines and conduct standards throughout all interactions and service delivery.
  • Be available for on-call coverage during and outside of program hours as needed to support client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will focus on serving a diverse array of clients with varying backgrounds, experiences, and needs, particularly those in underserved communities throughout Augusta, Georgia. You will engage with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring that treatments are culturally competent and tailored to the unique circumstances of each client. By providing compassionate care, you will play a pivotal role in improving patient outcomes and enhancing overall community well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field is required.
  • Active Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia is mandatory.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills to support effective case management.
  • Demonstrable understanding of age-specific and specialty issues related to the populations served.
Preferred Experience
