Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial consultations to assess clientsโ€™ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, meticulously documenting case details.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based interventions, adapting them as necessary to meet clients' evolving needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to encourage open dialogue and promote healing.
  • Monitor and document client progress throughout the duration of the treatment plan, making revisions based on therapeutic outcomes and feedback.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive treatment and continuity of care for clients experiencing concurrent health issues.
  • Support families and caregivers by providing strategies to tackle mental health challenges and reinforce supportive behaviors.
  • Manage referrals and collaborate with local resources to optimize client access to additional services as needed.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities and stay current with the latest trends in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your role is pivotal in not only developing treatment strategies that align with each client's unique circumstances but also in fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship that empowers clients to share their experiences openly.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Georgia.
  • Must have passed the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, with familiarity in AVATAR being a plus.
  • Strong foundation in identifying and managing both physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage clients compassionately.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams n a remote setting.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly within community mental health services.
  • Knowledge of best practices as set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
  • Experience working with diverse populations and sensitivity toward cultural and social dynamics.
  • In-depth knowledge of psychotropic medications and their effects, including collaboration with medical professionals.
Compensation and Benefits
