Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans tailored to meet those individual needs.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and therapeutic interventions, working closely with the clinical team to provide the most effective support for each client.
• Facilitate pre-crisis and crisis interventions, including the creation of crisis plans, behavioral guidelines, and positive behavior support strategies.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to regulatory standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement behavioral health programming and foster positive outcomes.
• Serve as a liaison to local agencies and community partners to enhance service delivery and support systems.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, and participating in specialized committees to stay abreast of best practices in the field.
• Promote the agency's mission, values, and principles in all interactions within the community and in professional contexts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will directly impact a diverse group of clients, including individuals facing mental health challenges, those recovering from substance use disorders, and persons living with developmental disabilities. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at CayLab, you will provide care centered on the unique needs of each client, fostering an environment of respect and mutual trust.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a behavioral health field is required.
• Current LMHC license issued by the state board in New York.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate clinical records and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Proven capability to work cooperatively in an interdisciplinary team setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective idea expression and client interactions.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions based on professional knowledge.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in community mental health settings or similar environments.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Experience with integrated care models and collaboration with external stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 52,000 and 100,000 annually based on your level of experience and education. In addition, you can expect a robust benefits package that includes:
