Position Overview

Biomedica Therapy and Wellness is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapists to join our vibrant team of professionals within our remote community health clinic. This full-time position provides a unique opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, offering support and interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of each client. Work Environment

This role will be primarily remote, providing you with the flexibility to deliver care from the comfort of your chosen space while engaging with clients through virtual sessions. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and while the schedule is primarily set, some flexibility may be necessary based on patient needs. As part of our collaborative team, you will participate in regular virtual team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and enhance your professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments utilizing standardized tools to determine patients' needs and formulate personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individuals, couples, and families, including modalities like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that address pressing mental health issues and help to foster a sense of connection among clients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, to ensure integrated and holistic care for every patient.
  • Provide crisis intervention support, managing mental health emergencies with a calm and immediate response to ensure patient safety.
  • Educate patients about their mental health conditions and available resources, empowering them with knowledge to enhance their treatment journey.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring legal documentation of all clinical interactions.
  • Engage actively in ongoing professional development by participating in case consultations and in-house training sessions.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments and research in the mental health field to provide high-quality care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes a wide spectrum of individuals from various backgrounds seeking help for mental health challenges. You will work with children, adolescents, adults, and families, providing culturally competent care that respects the diverse experiences of all clients. Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and a variety of therapeutic approaches, with a proven ability to deliver effective interventions.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
