Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand clients' mental health histories, current challenges, and treatment needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans that use various therapeutic modalities tailored to individual client goals.
  • Lead engaging therapy sessions that may utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and other evidence-based practices to facilitate recovery and progress.
  • Monitor client progress closely, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to reflect changing needs and circumstances.
  • Maintain detailed client records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The mental health counselor will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, including adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and other mental health issues. Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of hands-on clinical experience providing mental health therapy in a clinical or community setting.

Preferred Experience
