To thrive as a Remote Change Management professional, you need expertise in organizational change principles, project management, and a relevant degree or certification such as Prosci or ACMP. Familiarity with digital collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams, project tracking systems like Jira, and change management platforms is typically required. Remote Change Management professionals often utilize a variety of digital tools—such as video conferencing, instant messaging, and project management platforms—to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the change process. They schedule regular virtual meetings, provide clear documentation, and foster open channels for feedback to ensure alignment despite physical distance. Building trust and maintaining transparency are key, so practitioners must be proactive in addressing concerns, sharing updates, and celebrating milestones. This collaborative approach helps teams adapt smoothly to changes while maintaining productivity and morale.

Effective remote change management requires clear communication, strong leadership, and adaptability to virtual collaboration challenges.

What Are Remote Change Management Jobs?

Remote change management jobs allow you to work from home and advise a company on the best ways to adjust its internal structure. As part of this, you may conduct an analysis of the company, create a plan to improve specific aspects of it, and help oversee the change. While you can do most of this work from home, you may occasionally need to travel to the office of a client. Otherwise, this job often involves phone calls, voice chats, and other forms of live communication that allow clients to get immediate feedback from you. Remote change managers sometimes work irregular hours. For example, employers may ask you to help change a foreign office that is not functioning as well as it should, which could require working an evening or night shift to match their time zone.

Job description

Summary/Objective

Shaw Systems is a national software development company with a strong record of financial performance and a reputation for quality products. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager for our credit-based financial software products, based in our Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate has a proven track record implementing large-scale financial services applications for banks and financial institutions - including integration of and interfaces to third-party systems - a background in banking or loan servicing, and the executive-level communication skills to translate complex technical issues for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale financial services application implementations for banks and financial institutions, owning scope, budget, schedule, forecasting, and resources.

Plan and oversee integration of, and interfaces to, third-party systems - managing vendor dependencies, data exchange, and joint testing.

Manage scope and change control: track budget against scope and identify, document, and escalate out-of-scope items.

Serve as the customer's central point of contact, managing expectations and facilitating resolution of complex software issues with subject matter experts.

Maintain a risk and issue register; proactively escalate issues and request assistance to clear blockers before they impact delivery.

Communicate at the executive level - translating complex technical issues into clear status, risk, and decisions through executive-grade PowerPoint reports and steering-committee materials.

Apply working knowledge of cloud, network, and application technology together with loan servicing business knowledge to guide project decisions and risk management.

Leverage meeting transcriptions to consolidate key notes, decisions, and action items, then document and track them to closure.

Establish project governance and report progress through KPIs and dashboards; manage quality and secure deliverable sign-off against acceptance criteria.

Lead organizational change management and user adoption, mentor project staff, and ensure compliance with financial-services regulatory, audit, and data-privacy requirements (e.g., SOX, information security).

Requirements

Minimum 5 years managing full life cycle software implementation projects, including large-scale financial services applications for banks and financial institutions.

Background in banking or loan servicing, with business knowledge of loan servicing applications.

Experience integrating and interfacing with third-party systems, and tracking budget against scope while escalating out-of-scope items.

Structured risk and issue management experience (risk registers, mitigation planning).

Project governance experience (KPIs, dashboards, executive reporting), plus quality management and deliverable sign-off.

Excellent communication skills: able to understand complex issues, translate them for an executive audience, and confidently escalate for assistance.

Advanced PowerPoint expertise; advanced proficiency in MS Project, Word, and Excel.

Working understanding of cloud, network, and application communications.

Experience leading organizational change management / user adoption and mentoring project managers or cross-functional teams.

Familiarity with financial-services regulatory, audit, and data-privacy requirements (e.g., SOX, information security).
