Position Summary:
Plays a key role in preparing, supporting, and equipping employees to adopt and use changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, organization structures, and more. Supports the development and execution of change management plans, driving faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of changes, and proficiency with the changes that impact employees.
Responsible for creating and designing communication materials, developing and conducting training sessions, and utilizing KPIs to measure, monitor, and evaluate outcomes. Focuses on the execution of change management strategies, resulting in increased benefit realization, value creation, and the achievement of business results and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Support the development and execution of change management plans to drive adoption and utilization of new processes, systems, and technologies.
  • Assess change readiness and evaluate the potential impact of proposed changes on varied employee populations, identifying potential risks and challenges.
  • Develop plans to anticipate, identify, minimize, and address resistant behaviors from employees and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and resources to leaders and teams to support them in adapting to change and overcoming resistance.
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of multi-channel strategic communications and events to support stakeholder awareness and buy-in.
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of training materials and facilitate training sessions to equip employees with the necessary skills to adopt new processes, technologies, etc.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, making adjustments as needed to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Leverage leading change management methodologies and practices to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by promoting change readiness and agility across the organization.
  • Act in accordance with Port Houston core values (respect, excellence, accountability, diligence, and you).
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Organizational Development, or relevant field.
  • 2+ years of progressive experience in change management, project management, communications, or training required.
  • Change management certification (CCMP, Kotter, 7-S, Prosci, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Consulting capabilities preferred.
