POSITION MANDATE

Metal Supermarkets is seeking an experienced  Franchise Business Consultant to coach and support franchisees across North America. Reporting to the Vice President, Franchise Support & Operations, this role helps franchisees drive  sales, maximize profitability,  improve operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and ensure operational  compliance through practical coaching, data analysis, store visits, and follow-through. This is a mainly a remote role with up to two weeks of travel per month for store visits, Operational Excellence Reviews, and new store opening support.


PERFORMANCE OUTCOMES

Success in this role means building strong franchisee relationships, identifying performance opportunities, and helping stores execute the Metal Supermarkets business system consistently. The Franchise Business Consultant uses operational insight, financial analysis, coaching, and accountability to help franchisees build stronger, more profitable businesses.


DELIVERABLES

  • Build trusted relationships with franchisees and act as a practical business partner.
  • Analyze financial and operational results to identify priorities, opportunities, and action plans.
  • Conduct store visits and Operational Excellence Reviews with clear recommendations and follow-up.
  • Support franchisee onboarding, training, local sales initiatives, system rollouts, and new store openings.
  • Share field insights and franchisee feedback with head office to improve tools, training, and support.

METAL SUPERMARKETS HEAD OFFICE STAFF

  • Collaborate with head office teams to deliver timely support to franchisees.
  • Reinforce World Class Customer Service, safe store operations, and consistent use of Metal Supermarkets systems.
  • Contribute to conferences, monthly calls, training sessions, and other network meetings.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of multi-unit management experience, including at least one year in a franchised environment.
  • 5+ years of operations experience, ideally in field support, business coaching, or multi-location operations.
  • Experience supporting new store openings, training, operational reviews, and local sales growth initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, basic accounting, health and safety standards, and business operations.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, relationship management, planning, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and business judgment skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM systems.
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience, valid passport, and ability to travel throughout North America.

Annual Salary: $80,000-$85,000 USD, based on experience
