What are remote assistant managers?

Remote assistant managers are professionals who supervise teams, operations, or projects from a remote location, often using digital tools to communicate and manage workflows. They assist upper management in overseeing staff, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring that business objectives are met, all while working outside of a traditional office. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as proficiency with remote collaboration technologies. Remote assistant managers are common in industries that support flexible or distributed work environments.

Familiarity with project management tools (like Asana or Trello), communication platforms (such as Slack or Zoom), and basic data analysis software is often required. Exceptional communication, time management, and adaptability are standout soft skills for overseeing remote teams and processes. • Able to exhibit our comprehension-level company competencies (review by clicking here)
  • Persistent
  • Can thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Highly skilled at building rapport quickly and influencing through strong communication.
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment.
  • Proactive in spotting trends, challenges, and opportunities in candidate pipelines - and acting on them.

Execution & Recruitment Ownership
  • Lead and execute recruitment efforts for high-volume roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers
  • Conduct outreach as needed to support pipeline conversion and ensure hiring goals are met
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for complex or high-priority requisitions
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to engage both active and passive talent
  • Monitor candidate pipelines and proactively address gaps to ensure hiring targets are achieved

Operational Excellence & Quality Control
  • Own quality control across outreach, calls, scheduling, and overall candidate experience
  • Ensure all recruitment activity aligns with established standards, processes, and expectations
  • Identify inefficiencies or breakdowns in the process and implement corrective actions
  • Support process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and candidate experience

Cross-Functional Partnership & Reporting

  • At least 18 years old
  • Have a working computer with a camera and microphone
  • Have a reliable internet connection
  • Minimum 3 years of high-volume recruitment experience, including sourcing and full-cycle hiring.
  • 1-2 years leading or formally managing people
  • Proven ability to coach and improve performance (not just hit metrics)
  • Proven track record of achieving recruitment goals in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment.
  • Proven track record of leading key recruitment projects and initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex requisitions, prioritize competing demands, and manage high call volumes (100+ outbound calls/day).
  • 1+ year of full-time remote work experience (remote experience related to COVID or hybrid does not meet this criteria).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple hiring projects simultaneously.
