What This Role Is All About
The Remote Sr Epic Application Coordinator - Professional Billing takes a lead role in designing, improving, and supporting Epic applications that directly affect surgical, procedural, and anesthesia workflows across the health system. This role blends technical expertise, workflow understanding, and project leadership to create reliable and efficient Epic solutions for clinical partners.
Work involves analyzing business processes, identifying system needs, designing application solutions, leading cross departmental discussions, and translating requests into functional and technical requirements. This position handles complex initiatives, conducts impact assessments, supports testing and integration, and collaborates closely with clinical and operational leaders.
The Remote Sr Epic Application Coordinator - Professional Billing also mentors Application Coordinators and System Analysts, brings creative problem solving to challenging issues, and helps lead the implementation of new functionality. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborative problem solving, system optimization, and supporting teams that depend on Epic every day.
What You Bring on Day One
Education
  • Bachelor's degree

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
  • 3+ years of experience post Epic certification

Licenses and Certifications
  • Epic module certification for assigned applications (Professional Billing)

Great to Have
Education
  • Master's degree in computer science or related field

Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, including 7+ years of experience in Information Technology and 5 years of experience post Epic certification

  • Obtain and maintain Epic certification for assigned applications
  • Develop deep knowledge of Epic Anesthesia, Optime, and Lumens and their interactions with other applications

  • Participate in creating and executing integrated test plans
