Remote Ai Nursing information

What is remote AI nursing?

Remote AI nursing refers to the use of artificial intelligence technologies to support nursing care that is delivered remotely, often through telehealth platforms. This can include monitoring patients’ vital signs, assisting with diagnosis, managing patient records, and providing virtual consultations. AI tools can help nurses identify potential health issues earlier, streamline administrative tasks, and improve patient outcomes. Remote AI nursing enables healthcare providers to reach patients in rural or underserved areas, offering greater flexibility and access to care. It is an evolving field that combines clinical expertise with advanced technology.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote AI nurse?

To thrive as a Remote AI Nurse, you need a solid background in nursing, clinical assessment, and telehealth practices, usually supported by RN licensure and experience in digital healthcare settings. Familiarity with telemedicine platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and basic AI-driven tools or chatbots is often required. Strong communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation are vital soft skills for building patient trust and working independently. These skills ensure quality care delivery, effective remote collaboration, and adaptability in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.

How does a remote AI nursing professional typically collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care?

Remote AI Nursing professionals work closely with physicians, care coordinators, and IT specialists to interpret patient data, flag high-risk cases, and facilitate timely interventions. They often participate in virtual team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust care plans based on AI-generated insights. Effective communication and documentation are crucial, as these professionals act as a bridge between technology and clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes and streamline care delivery.

Job description

About the Company
  • Early-stage, venture-backed healthcare AI company building an AI nurse concierge for Medicare beneficiaries
  • Pairs patients with a dedicated healthcare advocate while AI agents handle the tedious backend work, all covered by Medicare
  • Reached roughly $1M in run-rate revenue in under a year; team of nine
  • Industry: Healthcare, AI. Founded: 2025
The Role
  • Own and improve the agentic systems that automate healthcare-navigation tasks on behalf of patients, essentially building the "cursor for nurses"
  • Use reinforcement learning from real interactions to continuously improve quality
What You'll Be Doing
  • Automate tasks advocates currently do manually, including outbound voice calls to insurance, doctors, pharmacies, and patients
  • Build and improve agentic search and multi-agent orchestration across complex healthcare workflows
  • Design evaluation infrastructure to measure and improve the quality of AI automations
  • Implement reinforcement-learning loops that use real actions to train and improve models over time
  • Ship fast and iterate directly with the team that listens to real conversations daily
Requirements
  • Shipped voice AI to production (not demos)
  • 1 to 10 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, including systems with a voice component
  • A clear signal of excellence: a growing startup (Series A to D), major products shipped, funding raised, olympiad, or similar
  • Undergraduate CS degree from a top-25 university in the US or Canada
  • Production voice AI stack: streaming STT/TTS, telephony (Twilio/SIP), latency optimization, endpointing
  • Agentic systems: context engineering, multi-agent orchestration, tool use, RAG
  • Rapid learner who thrives in ambiguity and builds the playbook rather than following one
  • Willing to relocate to San Francisco in Q1 2027
Nice to Haves
  • Ex-YC founder, from a fast-scaling later-stage company, or Big Tech with prior startup experience
  • Built evaluation pipelines for voice systems: metrics, regression suites, production signal
Details
  • Location: San Francisco, CA, or remote (US), with preference for SF or Boston; relocation to SF expected around Q1 2027
  • Compensation: $180,000 to $220,000 base plus competitive early equity
  • Visa sponsorship: open to visa transfers (for example OPT or H-1B transfers)
  • Employment type: Full-time
