The Health Disorder Mental and Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team, with a focus on providing telehealth services to children and adolescents. This position is designed for a telehealth setting, allowing you to provide care from the comfort of your home while ensuring maximum flexibility for both you and your patients. You will utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation, scheduling, and communication with colleagues, ensuring that patient data is both accessible and secure.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored specifically to the developmental needs of children and adolescents, enabling accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider the unique family dynamics and growth stages of each patient, continuously evaluating their progress.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, engaging in various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions to enhance communication and support systems between young patients and their families, fostering a nurturing home environment.
• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and additional healthcare professionals to create a coordinated care plan that addresses all aspects of the child’s mental health and emotional development.
• Provide crisis intervention for patients facing acute mental health challenges, including immediate support during emergencies.
• Educate families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain accurate, ethical, and confidential documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans, in compliance with legal standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings and workshops to share insights, learn about new treatment methods, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with current research and advances in child and adolescent mental health, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents grappling with a range of mental health issues. You will work with patients facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. Understanding their unique needs and providing tailored interventions will be essential in helping them navigate their mental health journeys. You will actively involve their families in therapy to amplify healing and resilience.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a valid state license, including LCSW-R, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Licensed Psychologist.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting working with children and adolescents is preferred.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and related evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Skilled in providing both individual and family therapy, with an emphasis on establishing trust with young patients.
• Demonstrated empathy, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a commitment to creating a child-centered therapeutic environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfort in using various software applications.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience in telehealth is a plus, given the remote nature of this role.
• Proven track record of engaging with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or educational programs related to mental health awareness is advantageous.
