The Opportunity
As an Analyst for State Filings, you will be the foundational support for our State Filing consulting team. This is a dynamic role designed for someone detail-oriented and curious about the insurance landscape.
Key Responsibilities
State Filings
  • Draft & Submit: Draft and submit Rate, Rule, and Form filings for all states and Property & Casualty lines of business. Prepare and complete the necessary transmittals.
  • Objection Support: Assist with tracking and managing state filing objections. Work with key stakeholders to address and respond to the objections in a timely manner.
  • Monitor: Monitor the status of state filing projects. Collaborate with the team to ensure client expectations and deadlines are met.

Research & Industry Knowledge
  • Foundational Research: Conduct targeted research using public and proprietary insurance resources to support client projects.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Track bureau changes, updates to industry regulations and market trends (as needed) to keep our teams informed and ahead of the curve.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively participate in internal strategy meetings and training sessions to build your insurance and consulting expertise.

Data Management & Quality Excellence
  • Data Organization: Collect, organize, and synthesize data for use in client-facing reports and internal strategic projects.
  • Quality Control: Perform meticulous data entry and formatting for regulatory filings, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance.
  • System Maintenance: Assist in managing internal databases to ensure information is current and accessible.

Project Support & Deliverables
  • Drafting & Design: Support the creation of professional draft documents, presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Project Logistics: Maintain organized project files and contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal templates and tools.

Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of progressive rate, rule, and form filing experience in Property and Casualty insurance, preferably Commercial Lines. Workers Compensation experience is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree (or in progress) preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with SERFF for the electronic filing of insurance rates, rules, and forms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and outlook.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong aptitude for collecting, organizing, and reviewing data for accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform thorough and accurate research utilizing a variety of resources such as online databases and industry-specific publications.
  • The ability to draft and format clear, concise, and professional documents, presentations, and reports.
  • Experience with converting pdf files to Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, meticulous focus on accuracy, particularly when performing data entry, quality checks, and managing project documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues, follow directions from senior team members, and contribute to a shared goal.
  • Adaptability & Eagerness to Learn with a proactive approach to learning about new processes, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain organized project files, and prioritize work to meet deadlines.

Salary and Benefits
The base salary for this position is $60,000-$75,000. Final salary offer will be based on several factors, including commensurate experience, qualifications, and skills.
